In all of Del Norte County, this was the only cave I found that a kayak could
get into!
Flathead Rock just south of the Klamath River.
I landed on this neat pocket beach for lunch. Could be a nice place to camp.
On the trip back north a day later:
I explored the neat pocket beach and camped there for the night.
At dusk I took a series of pictures showing the ring of monoliths surrounding
my campground. Note the sunlight still glinting on the top of Split Rock on the right.
Only viewing it from sea reveals the reason for the name of Split Rock.
Views of the rocks offshore south of the Klamath River:
I caught a few grainy pictures of whales hanging out offshore from the Klamath River!
Approaching the north side of the river again.
Going through the "best sea cave in Del Norte County" on my way north.
