I stopped for lunch on a beach with a crown of driftwood capping it.
Soon I landed at the Redwood Youth Hostel and rolled my kayak across the highway
to stay for a few days.
After a day scouting the shore south, I launched to paddle past more
fog enshrouded coastline.
On the trip back north two days later:
I got harpoon distance from a trio of harbor seals on my way to land at a beautiful
little pocket beach with tree covered cliffs to the south.
As I approached the rock gardens around False Klamath Rock, the water was
calm and I could paddle anywhere I wanted!
This wave almost got my camera!
I arrived early so I paddled a few kilometers north to play around and through
the beautiful Footsteps Rock on a sunny day.
Views of the Redwood Youth Hostel over the rocks close to shore.
