Abalone Dive
at Fort Ross Reef, May 11th, 1996 when
the visibility in the ocean was an incredible 20 feet.
We could see the bottom, while drifing on the surface. The second
picture here is of my goody bag with two abalone in it. Now the
contorted abalone look like I have a severed head in the bag.
These pictures come from several trips near the end of the abalone
season in 1995 when I suddenly got the bug to try out this sport
and stock up on abalone for the winter.
