Once again I signed up to be an instructor for the BASK Skills Clinic, formerly known as the Novice Clinic. This year we had obtained permission to hold the Instructor's Clinic at the Point Reyes Lifeboat Station again. This is a wonderful historic building and it is a privilege to be allowed to spend an evening in it!

This year John Somers was the lead instructor and he put us through some rigorous paces. This included the normal paddle strokes and rescues. But this year there was a new twist. John wanted us to teach a new turn stroke called the Dufeck and I had to learn this in order to teach it! Sort of like my first year teaching this clinic when I signed up to be an instructor so that I could learn all the rescues!
